About the Role

Place of Employment:
Client homes, work sites outside of the client home as required and all other work sites as required Reliable Healthcare Services, LLC management.

The PCA/CNA is a front-line position acting as a representative of Reliable Healthcare Services and providing the services offered by the company. The PCA/CNA duties are not limited to those as the position has a wide scope of duties at times dependent on the client and always under the auspices of the company. The PCA/CNA will mostly work independently of co-workers or supervisors and therefore must balance good judgement and initiative along the policies of the company. It is the responsibility of a PCA/CNA, to successfully complete and pass the 40-hour personal care services curriculum training course and the standardized examination designed by the MS Division of Medicaid. One of the most important aspects of Reliable Healthcare Services, LLC, will be providing the client with a strong sense of self-esteem and independence. Taking a genuine interest in the client, their life and their environment will help create a true sense of companionship. It should be noted that emphasis is for the Caregiver to involve the client in the care program to help provide the client with the basic standard of healthy living as follows:

• Physical Activity
• Cooking
• Cleaning
• Companionship
• Running Errands
• Relaxation

Work Hours:
This position may require various times (including nights and weekends) on one or more work sites.

Duties:
The following list of duties is a guideline of possible duties to be performed independently or as a group of duties in the course of working with the client. The PCA/CNA duties are not limited to those listed.
1. Assist with personal care duties that include but are not limited to:
• Mouth and denture care
• Finger and toenail care
(no cutting)
• Hair care, including shaving
• Bathing or bed bath
• Dressing
• Toileting
• Feeding
• Medication reminder
• Assist with transferring and ambulation

2. Providing housekeeping task that include but are not limited to:
• Assure all rooms are clean and in order
• Clean and operate small appliances and equipment such as, vacuum, stove, refrigerator, washer, and
dryer
• Prepare shopping list, purchase, and store groceries
• Prepare and serve meals
• Laundry, ironing, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
• Run errands
• Change bed linens and make beds
• Clean the kitchen, including wash dishes, pots, and pans

3. Functions in monitoring capacity as assigned for completion of resident’s care, employee guidance and discipline.

4. Maintains open lines of communication with supervisors.

5. Act on resident behalf to assure patient rights and to prevent resident abuse.

6. Act on first aid knowledge in emergencies.

7. Is aware of safety issues, accomplishing responsibilities in a safe manner, re-enforces good safety practices displayed by other staff members.

8. Is able to maintain confidentiality of information.

9. Works as a team member.

10. Is able to perform the following physical activities: Kneeling, Stooping, Standing, Reaching, Pulling/pushing. Walking, Grasping, Moving fingers, Hearing, Talking, Sitting, Repetitive motions.

Requirements

  • Must have a high-school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must have CPR with First-Aid

  • Must demonstrate the ability to read the written personal care services assignment and write adequately to complete required forms and reports of visits
